Yes, you have just read the title right I am about to use a men’s product on my face! Having watched several YouTube reviews on this product I thought I might as well give it a try to see what the hype was really about.

You are probably wondering what this product is for, so obviously, its original purpose is for men to use following their shave to prevent skin irritation and to reapply moisture. Nevertheless, I use this product as a primer for my face. The reason being is this product is packed with Glycerin, which is found in all top brand primers and enables makeup to stay on the face nearly all day.

To apply this product I would first moisturise and then take a penny size piece and rub between my fingers then apply all over my face. Initial judgement is that even for someone with dryer skin (me) I could instantly see it moisturised my face and gave it a healthy glow.

My first impressions are extremely positive, as I mentioned it instantly gave my skin that healthy glow and even after applying foundation I could see the glow. The formula is very runny which isn’t typical of a primer, usually, they are silicon-based and thick (Smashbox Photo Finish Primer and Benefit Porefessional) but I really like this consistency. On application, the product also dries quite tacky but it only helps as an adhesive for your makeup. The only criticism I have of this product, personally, I can overlook it because the benefits are AMAZING, is the smell – since it smells of men’s’ aftershave which is usually a pleasant smell on a male but a little disconcerting on my face. Luckily the smell is temporary and was masked after applying additional products.

It is normally only around the £5.00 mark for an amazing primer – this is ridiculous! I often pay around the £20+ mark for primers, which don’t even compare to this product! Also for the amount of product inside it’s so inexpensive.

So far I rate this product 4.5/5! I will update in a few weeks to tell you how I am getting on with it!
