I’m so excited to have the holidays just around the corner but the one thing I never look forward to is winter skin – the tight sensation you feel when your skin is so dry from the central heating.

Today I’m focusing on the rest of our body and how to avoid keep your skin happy in the colder months. Although we might not be getting our legs out at Christmas parties this year, that is no reason to not take care of yourself. 

The Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum cream has certainly gained cult status over the past few years and quite rightly so it has been a saviour for my skin over the past 18 months. It is by far the best-smelling cream I have ever owned with notes of Cupuaçu Butter, Açaí Oil, and Coconut Oil, it takes me straight to an exotic island. I’m such a fan that I recently purchased the perfume, SOL Cheirosa ’62 – despite the summery scent, I will definitely be wearing it all year round.

The cream is filled with açaí, a rich antioxidant and Guaraná, a native Amazonian plant whose fruit contains one of the most potent forms of caffeine, which helps reduce the signs of cellulite. The Bum Bum cream leaves your skin feeling super-conditioned whilst plumping it out, leaving it looking irresistibly smooth. The slight shimmer to the cream gives you skin the most incredible sheen and gives you that JLO glow. 

Brands sticking to their heritage is something I really admire and Sol de Janeiro has really remained true to their origins. All products within the range are created using ingredients from the Amazon, that have been ethically sourced and all products are cruelty-free. 

The range has become quite extensive over the years from lip balms to candles to body oils to SPFs and perfumes, there is definitely something for everyone. Although I have to be honest and Sol de Janeiro products come at a hefty price, with the full-sized Bum Bum cream setting you back around £44.
