When Dyson launched the Airwrap at the end of 2018, I’m sure you will remember the hype surrounding the product. For a whopping £449.99, it really needed to be something spectacular to revolutionise the hair styling market.
As someone who has lived with very long hair all their life and never been very good at styling it, I’m always looking for easy ways to style my hair. Having spent many hours reading and watching the reviews online it wasn’t something I was initially willing to invest in.
When visiting Oxford Circus Boots Christmas time last year, I was offered a complimentary hair styling using the Airwrap. Of course, I gladly accepted the offer and was given the most phenomenal blowdry. From this moment on my feelings towards the Airwrap completely changed. Feeling so excited about the product I asked if they wouldn’t mind letting me try it out on my mum, who was accompanying me in London that day. Immediately, I got the hang of the Airwrap curling accessory and my mum’s hair looked phenomenal, just as if she had stepped out of a salon – which with me doing her hair was pretty miraculous! Even more amazing a small group of onlookers had gathered and thought I was a professional demonstrator!

I couldn’t understand where the bad reviews had come from especially with many claiming the product was difficult to use. After being so excited by the product I was slightly disappointed that the incredible bouncy blow-dry didn’t last all day but having been thrashed around by the London wind and drizzle I wasn’t overly surprised. My Dad had even been extremely complimentary of our hair too, so if it had male approval it must have looked good!
On Christmas morning, my mum and I were elated to find the Dyson Airwrap Complete Styler under the tree and couldn’t wait to try all the different accessories. To this day I haven’t gone back to a traditional hairdryer, the shine it gives my hair and minimal hair damage I have had over the last year is definitely a result of the Airwrap.

The only thing I would say is if you are looking for a tight barrel roll that lasts for 3-4 days this isn’t the product for you. It really does just give you an effortless blow-dry and make your hair look salon finished.
My two favourite attachments are 30mm Airwrap™ barrels and small soft smoothing brush. Typically, if I don’t need to do anything particularly fancy to my hair, I use the small soft smoothing brush every time I dry my hair and it stays straight for a full week with limited fly-aways and super glossy.
For the 30mm Airwrap barrels I have discovered the best technique to be: use the dryer attachment for a quick rough dry and whilst your hair is still slightly damp, then go in with the barrel until dry using the cool button for 15 seconds to finish each curl.
I should mention despite having great success with the barrels that come with the complete kit, I have put the long barrels on my Christmas list for this year, which I would recommend if you have medium to long hair.
If you are looking to really spoil you this Christmas than I highly recommend getting your hands on the Dyson Airwrap.
At Boots this Black Friday you can get collect 1796 points when purchasing the Airwrap Complete Styler.

Lots of Love,
